Roselle Tea 175g
Roselle tea is drunk across the world (Hibiscus sabdariffa) including in Africa, Americas, Asia and Europe. It is thought to have many health benefits (see google!) and we think it is simply delicious. It can be consumed hot or cold and has a cranberry-like tart, sour flavour - a little added honey, sugar or jaggery creates a refreshing sweet-sour brew!
Tea usage/ instructions per cup: Roselle tea per cup 3g; this is approximately what easily fits into the palm of your hand. Add this to 300ml (1.25 cups) of water and slow boil for 10mins. Sieve and pour into cup. Add a tea spoon of honey, sugar or jaggery to sweeten as it balances the tartness of the tea.
The same tea can be put in the refrigerated and had cold- very refreshing with a bit of lime as well! Makes a nice change to lime juice.
You can also add 50g per 750ml of Gin or Vodka and let it steep for a week. Makes a super cocktail mix with lime cordial and half a freshly squeezed lime!
